Ten-day battery and a screen that looks great

Now, let’s talk about these two new watches, starting with the more affordable of the two, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5. This is a highly interesting device built with an aluminum alloy and textile straps, which makes it very light on the wrist and allows the strap to breathe—ideal when you’re exercising.

Its display is AMOLED, it’s 1.82 inches, and it offers up to 2,500 nits of maximum brightness, perfect for outdoor use. Its density is 347 PPI (which makes text look very sharp) and it has a 60 Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth experience.

It’s a very compelling and affordable option if you want to monitor your heart rate or track your sleep, though it’s also capable of measuring other aspects like temperature and female health. Of course, it comes with more than 100 sport modes and the ‘mini-workouts’, quick sessions you can do anytime to work up to 11 body parts in a short time.

All this is complemented by an intelligent reminder system to alert you if you’ve been sitting for too long, and it supports NFC payments thanks to Curve Pay. And, like its bigger sibling, it’s compatible with Android and iOS.

Now for the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 PRO, which we’ve already reviewed on Xataka. In terms of materials, this model goes for a titanium bezel (more robust) and its display uses sapphire crystal, which is highly scratch-resistant. Another standout feature is its slightly larger screen (1.92 inches), with 3,000 nits of maximum brightness and LTPO technology, which continuously adapts the refresh rate to save resources and battery life.

It features a more complex sensor system that enables on-wrist electrocardiograms, as well as arterial stiffness analysis. It also has a very handy function that lets you view offline maps, perfect if you’re planning a route in a place without coverage.
