But that\u2019s the way it\u2019s gone. <strong>The people responsible for embodying one of television\u2019s most iconic couples<\/strong> of this century are reuniting for a new series. It\u2019s titled &#8216;<strong>Brothers<\/strong>&#8216; and it already has a release date.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 1 --> <\/p>\n<div class=\"ad ad-lat\">\n<div class=\"ad-box\" id=\"div-gpt-lat\">\n  <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Apple TV+ has just revealed that on <strong>September 23<\/strong> it will premiere the first two episodes of this comedy, reuniting <strong>Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey<\/strong> twelve years after &#8216;True Detective&#8217;, the crime drama that captivated audiences worldwide.<\/p>\n<h2>Brothers Unaware<\/h2>\n<p>Of course, this marks a complete tonal shift from the HBO series, because in &#8216;Brothers&#8217; (initially announced as &#8216;Brothers from another mother&#8217;) both actors will play fictional versions of themselves as two friends discover a secret that overturns their relationship: that they could actually be biological brothers.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 2 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-asset article-asset-normal article-asset-center\">\n<\/div>\n<p>According to the official synopsis:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>When Woody&#8217;s daughter&#8217;s wedding goes awry, he heads to Austin with the whole family to spend a spell at Matthew&#8217;s ranch and gather himself, but what begins as a getaway quickly spirals out of control when Ma Mac, Matthew&#8217;s mother (played by Holland Taylor), accidentally reveals the major family secret. While Woody tears the ranch apart trying to uncover the truth, Matthew faces a completely different identity crisis: the possibility of running for governor of Texas. The result is an emotional, chaotic and tremendously funny story about friendship, family, fame and the tricky boundary between myth and reality.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Joining them in the cast are <strong>Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe and Holland Taylor<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n<p>McConaughey and Harrelson also serve as executive producers on a series created by <strong>Lee Eisenberg<\/strong>, responsible for that gem that is &#8216;Jury Duty&#8217;.
